At the Llugwy we don't breed for show or slaughter. We produce calm, good-natured breeding stock; healthy, well handled sheep of sound quality.

If you're looking for animals to become family members, look no further. Pet wethers with affectionate personalities are our speciality. We believe a sheep is for life, not just the freezer.

For those newcomers to Jacob sheep, or any sheep, we can offer comfortable self-catering accommodation right in the heart of things. Choose your lambs and get to know them. The Llugwy is set in the beautiful mid Wales hill country near the Shropshire border. We offer advice and "hands on" experience; there is no obligation to buy. Lambing is in March and lambs are for sale from mid June onwards; all are vaccinated and wormed. Ewe lambs are scrapie tested and registered.

The Llugwy is also home to Welsh Mountain Badger Faced sheep, as above, registered and scrapie tested ewes and pet wethers.

Craft courses are available in spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet and felt making.
